Andrea Specht holds a Bachelor of Science in Education in Special Education with a specialty in Deaf Education, a Master of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration, and a Graduate Certificate in Community College Leadership from Kent State University. Specht began working at CIA in 2021 as the Graduate Assistant for Orientation + Student Life before transitioning to her current role as Associate Director of Student Life + Campus Engagement in 2022. Specht has also worked at other institutions such as Baldwin Wallace University, Cuyahoga Community College, and Kent State University.
Specht has worked to further develop and create programs such as College 101, Fall and Mid-Year Orientation, and student leadership opportunities. Specht has a passion for student involvement and believes every student should have a space to be included and supported.
