Library . OhioLINK
The Cleveland Institute of Art Library is a member of OhioLINK, a consortium of 88 Ohio colleges and universities, and the State Library of Ohio. OhioLINK provides access to nearly 50 million items statewide. Click here for OhioLINK's main page.
Cleveland Institute of Art degree-program students and faculty, emeritus faculty, and most staff may borrow items from OhioLINK.
If an item is unavailable through our catalog, then it’s possible to borrow it through OhioLINK. Materials may be requested from other OhioLINK libraries for delivery to the CIA Library in approximately 3-5 business days. There is no fee for borrowing OhioLINK materials.
Once you have located the item you want in the OhioLINK central catalog:

OhioLINK fines and fees are firm, and the CIA Library staff is not able to negotiate these.
Courtesy notices, overdue notices, and bills for OhioLINK items are sent to your CIA email address.
Borrowing privileges are suspended if the amount owed on your library account exceeds $15.00.
Access to the OhioLINK databases is limited to the CIA network.
As a current student, faculty or staff with a clear library record, you have borrowing privileges at any OhioLINK library. Present a valid CIA ID to that library’s circulation staff, and tell them you are an OhioLINK visiting patron.
The OhioLINK Finding Aid Repository is designed to showcase the rich collections housed in archives, libraries, and other institutions throughout the state of Ohio. The Repository provides access to collections on a broad scale, increasing the visibility of these unique and valuable resources for research.

Be prepared to provide as much information as possible, including author, title, publisher, date, and page numbers, as well as the location of the original citation.
