CIA grad Michael Abarca ’09 has curated an exhibition, The Insistent Now, at BAYarts on view through Dec. 24. The show features Cleveland-area artists — including five CIA faculty and staff members: Lane Cooper, Sarah Kabot, Michael T. Meier ’10, Nikki Woods ’12, and Liz Maugans.

The Insistent Now is an exhibition of Cleveland area artists whose selected works command attention to the here and now. Whether it's through interpreting elusive experiences, creating spacial interventions or constructing idealized perennial landscapes, these artists explore, address and confront the demands of the ever-expanding present.
