If you're in the Chicago area, please join us for Division of Labor: Chicago Artist Parents,an exhibition + event series addressing the impact of parenthood on an artist's creative practice and career. The show kicks off with not one but TWO opening receptions: the first on Thursday, November 20th from 5-8pm, with a family-friendly reception on Saturday morning, November 22nd from 10am - noon featuring live music from Tiny Cover Band and hands-on activities for all ages with grad students from Columbia's Art Education program. The weekend morning opening is a bit of an experiment in making openings accessible to families with very young kids - whether you have children or not, if this is a model you think is worthwhile please come join us! Kids, parents, and non-parents alike are welcome to either reception, of course.
