Lunch On Fridays: Carter Foster

Add event to my calendar

Spend a lunch hour learning about the latest in art and design during these Friday lectures. Each lecture features a variety of artists and designers from around the world, including CIA faculty and visiting artists.

Carter Foster is Curator of Drawings for the Whitney Museum of American Art. Foster graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia and received his Master’s degree from Brown. Foster was Chief of the Drawings Department at the Cleveland Museum of Art, and Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, prior to starting at the Whitney in 2005.

Foster will talk about his research into the work of Edward Hopper for the exhibition Hopper Drawing, presented last year at the Whitney.

This event is free and open to the public. Pizza and beverages will be provided. Click here to read more about the Lunch on Fridays series.

Cleveland Institute of Art is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.
