Spend a lunch hour learning about the latest in art and design during these Friday lectures. Each lecture features a variety of artists and designers from around the world, including CIA faculty and visiting artists.

The three Student Independent Exhibition (SIE) jurors will discuss their work and their experience of judging SIE, now in its 68th year. This year’s nationally recognized jurors are:

  • Megan Biddle earned her BFA in glass from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2000 and her MFA from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Richmond in 2005. She is currently an adjuct professor in the glass program at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia.
  • Brittany Campbell earned her BFA in Fiber+Material Studies from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2009 and her MFA in Fiber from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. Her performance-based installations recreate actions associated with childhood play, to highlight the human desire for companionship.
  • TR Ericsson lives and works in Brooklyn, NY and Concord Township, OH. Recent solo exhibitions include: 2011 SHOT 44, Kunsthalle Marcel Duchamp, Cully, Switzerland; Étant donnés 2°, Francis M. Naumann Fine Art; Nicotine Dream, Paul Kasmin Gallery. He was included in Where I’m Calling From, at the Cleveland Museum of Art Transformer Station.
