Lunch on Fridays: James Nares

Add event to my calendar

Spend a lunch hour learning about the latest in art and design during these Friday lectures. Each lecture features a variety of artists and designers from around the world, including CIA faculty and visiting artists.

CIA's fall exhibitions kick off on Friday, Nov. 8 with a Lunch On Fridays talk by British-born filmmaker and painter James Nares, whose film, Street, will air on loop in CIA's Black Box Projection Room.

Film has always been a medium of experimentation for Nares, and it has led him to many minimalist explorations of imagery on camera. As of recent, Nares has reestablished his love for the medium because of the advancements in the technology used primarily to create film.

In addition, a special screening of his film Rome '78 will be screened for free in Aitken Auditorium on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:45pm.

This event is free and open to the public. Pizza and beverages will be provided. Click here to read more about the Lunch on Fridays series.
