Continuing Education . Pre-College Abstraction + Expressionism through Drawing
Has drawing the still life become a bit boring? How about an experience that will reenergize you and your passion for drawing?

This course is designed for individuals who already possess moderate to advanced drawing skills and are searching for new challenges. Through the practice of drawing, you will explore historical, formal, and conceptual matters that will not only challenge traditions—it will also catalyze new working methods and ideas of creation. This two-week intensive is a must for those who are intent on studying painting, drawing, or sculpture at the college level, but it’s also advantageous for individuals pursuing paths in illustration. Focusing on time spent in the studio, you will also engage in group discussions, informal lectures, and individual/formal critiques.
By the time our session is completed, you will have a new appreciation for materials and processes, as well as an improved understanding for the relationships between aesthetics, style, and content. Not only will the culmination of this course lead to improvements in artistic skills, it also develops a more confident and better-informed artist.
