Here’s an English-subtitled 35mm print of a Hayao Miyazaki animated epic that we did not show in our Sept-Oct Miyazaki series. (It became available after that retrospective was booked.) The film follows a teenage girl who is transformed by a witch into a wrinkled old woman. She seeks out the wizard Howl to lift the spell and takes refuge in his magical, shape-shifting, ambulatory castle, the doorway to an assortment of fantastical alternate realities.
