Blog . iGlass 3D
iGlass 3D, designed by Bumbletech in 2001, is a glassworking application that simulates the act of blowing, spinning, heating, shaping, and cooling glass on the end of a Gaffer’s pipe! iGlass 3D has even incorporated the microphone of the iPad into the process of glass working on your mobile device. Simply blow into the microphone to expand a bubble in the glass gather! Every tool that you would normally use in a traditional hot shop can be found in the interface of iGlass 3D as well. Tap the tools menu to select the one you would like and go right back to working. Just like in traditional glass working, select your tool quickly because the glass will keep slumping and cooling if the spinning slows. To finish your piece, iGlass has a built-in annealer/cold working shop for rendering and refining the edges at the very end. To get started working with iGlass 3D for $0.99, visit the iTunes store!
