Sketchbook Pro on Sale!

09/19/12  |  Posted by Vanesa Jeric  |  Posted in Digital Canvas - Apps & Accessories

Sketchbook Pro by Autodesk Inc. is a drawing and painting app that can do a lot of different things without the complexity of the program being overwhelming. It is on sale for a limited time in the iTunes app store for $1.99! That's 60% off the original price so grab it while you can. The app has many drawing tools to choose from and you can even customize your brushes to fit your drawing needs. You can work with six layers at a time and tap the screen with three fingers to bring up the toolbars. One of the things I like about this app is the neatness of the drawing tools on the side, tap one of the icons and hold for a slew of more options to choose from. It gives a Photoshop feel to it so I instinctively know to do that when I want to change a tool. Another neat feature is the ability to toggle the "mirror" icon which repeats your strokes on the other side of the screen, ideal for character design.     Also, check out the Sketchbook Pro gallery on Flickr where users upload their artwork done with the Sketchbook Pro app.
