Jim Lee Makes Batman Come to Life on an iPad Screen

12/10/11  |  Posted by Amber Luning  |  Posted in Digital Creativity

Jim Lee is a legend in the comic artist community, someone every Illustration major secretly wants to be when they grow up. He started at Marvel, originated the beloved character Gambit with Chris Claremont, quit Marvel, launched Image Comics with six other Marvel dissenters, and is the new Co-Publisher of DC Comics. On the art side, he is best known for his stark and beautiful portrayals of Batman, brooding over Gotham City as Batmans are wont to do. [caption id="attachment_1720" align="alignnone" width="197" caption="It's just how those Batmans roll."][/caption] Using the Sketchbook Pro app from Autodesk, Lee lovingly renders Gotham's darkest knight. The original article can be found here Sketchbook Pro is $4.99 at the app store
