CIA Professors Doug Paige and Bob Martinez will be teaching the Pre-College course, Industrial Design, this summer. Doug has been a Professor of Industrial Design at CIA since 1988 where he also teaches Designing for Sustainability and Biomimicry. From PadGadget, this great article about students who use iPads in school and how regular use reflects on their course work. An ongoing study conducted by Abilene Christian University is the latest to try to quantify the benefits of using these tablets to support their educational efforts.[...] The results of their research appear to be overwhelmingly positive. Students who took advantage of iPads to annotate their notes ended up scoring 25% higher on questions regarding information transfer than those who hadn't.
