CIA Professors Doug Paige and Bob Martinez will be teaching the Pre-College course, Industrial Design, this summer. Doug has been a Professor of Industrial Design at CIA since 1988 where he also teaches Designing for Sustainability and Biomimicry. Tommy White, born in Detroit, received his M.F.A. from Clemson University in the discipline of painting and a B.A. from Michigan State University in ceramics. His work is included in many private collections as well as the permanent collections of the Mobile Museum of Art in Alabama, Binney and Smith, Inc. (former manufacturer of Liquitex products), and the Capital One Corporation. He has exhibited in nineteen states, the District of Columbia, Melbourne, Australia, and Seoul, South Korea. Prior to becoming Assistant Professor of Painting at the Cleveland Institute of Art, he spent three years teaching painting and drawing at the University of Oklahoma and nine years with Virginia Commonwealth University as an educator and administrator. He maintains a professional working studio in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

Degree MFA from Clemson University in the discipline of painting and a BA from Michigan State University in ceramics.
