Nicole Condon-Shih is an artist, educator, and academic leader exploring the intersection of art, science, and technology. Her research-based studio practice examines the dichotomy between the microscopic versus the macroscopic in thinking about biological, cultural, and societal systems. Projects have been shown in Hong Kong at the Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism & Architecture, in Beijing at the B3 Biennale of the Moving Image, commissioned by Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and is collected by Summa Health Systems.
Nicole focuses her pedagogical research towards interdisciplinary foundation curriculum and is an active member of the Foundations In Art: Theory and Education Association. Her art practice continually informs her teaching, just as teaching is integral to her practice as an artist, researcher, and academic leader.

As a materials magician, Kathy Buszkiewicz creates multi-layered works from U.S. currency which explore themes relating to materialism, environmentalism, consumerism, socio-economic and cultural value. She enjoys enticing then provoking the viewer to question the nature of value and meaning.
Born in Indiana, she pursued part of her education in London, England traveling throughout the United Kingdom and Europe to study historic art and metalwork. She received her bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and an M.F.A. from Indiana University. For three years Kathy worked as a commercial jeweler and diamond setter in Indianapolis. Through a Murphy Foundation Grant she traveled to Indonesia in 1991. In that same year, she curated an ethnographic jewelry exhibition of over 250 works. As a result of her travels, various cultures have influenced her work. Since 1983, Ms. Buszkiewicz has been a Professor of Jewelry and Metals at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
Kathy has received four Individual Excellence Awards from the Ohio Arts Council in 1992, 1994, 2002, and 2006 as well as others for work research. In 2005 she was the recipient of the Viktor Schreckengost Award for Distinguished Teaching as well as the Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education Award for Teaching Excellence. In 2016 she became a Community Partnership for Arts and Culture Creative Workforce Fellowship recipient.
Her work has been published in over 70 books and publications and is in the collection of several respected museums including the Swiss National Museum, Zurich, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Philadelphia Museum of Art as well as being represented in many private art collections in the U.S. and abroad. Through hundreds of exhibitions she has made a significant impact on her discipline both nationally and internationally.

Maggie is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Printmaking Department. She is a founding member and Board President of the Morgan Conservatory, a center for book and paper arts.
Recent exhibitions include a solo exhibition at the University of Mount Union and inclusion in the 2013 MAPC Juried Members Exhibition at the McDonough Museum.

Rachel Ferber is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and educator based in Cleveland, OH. Her work explores the sticky sides of power, performance and sustainability through the lens of commodified private space.
She holds an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art, as well as a BFA from Pacific Northwest College of Art, and her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across the United States. In addition to her studio, she runs an experimental natural dye project called The Dye Bath, and is one half of the art and design initiative, NEW NEW NEW.

Gretchen Goss is a visual artist who works primarily in enamel, inspired by the natural world. Her work has been supported by the Ohio Arts Council and has been included in exhibitions nationally and internationally.
In 2003 she was co-curator for Metalsmith magazine’s exhibition, Enamel: A Current Perspective.
She was curator for three subsequent exhibitions and has been a visiting artist and lecturer, and has taught numerous workshops on enameling nationally and in the UK.
Her BFA and MFA degrees are from Kent State University in Jewelry and Enameling respectively.

Scott Goss is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores various mediums including public art, sculpture, interactive installations, and glass. His work has been exhibited nationally and is represented by galleries in Akron, Cleveland, Columbus, and Pittsburgh. Scott has completed numerous public art projects and commissions, including an illuminated sculpture for Lakewood, OH’s Fire Station #2, an interactive illuminated sculpture for Worthington Yards Apartments in downtown Cleveland, a gateway project for the city of Shaker Heights, OH, a viewing platform for the Cleveland Conventions Bureau, and a glass panel project for Summa Hospital in Akron, OH. He received his BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2006 and his MFA from Kent State University in 2014. His work is included in numerous collections across the country, including the Arkansas Fine Arts Museum (Little Rock, AR), the Cleveland Museum of Art (Cleveland, OH), the Crocker Art Museum (Sacramento, CA), the Enamel Arts Foundation (Los Angeles, CA), the Dalad Art Collection (Cleveland, OH), and the Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland, OH). His work and research have additionally been supported through grants by the Satellite Fund (presented by SPACES Gallery in Cleveland, OH), the Urgent Art Fund (presented by SPACES Gallery in Cleveland, OH), the Ohio Arts Council, Harpo Foundation and Kent State University. Currently Scott is an Assistant Professor and the Assistant Chair of the Foundation Department at the Cleveland Institute of Art.

Steven Gutierrez is an artist, engineer, and educator interested in the intersection of art, technology and the environment. His current research is directed towards finding how technology may be used to help social and environmental issue.
He loves teaching, and feels it is a natural extension of his desire to reach out to others and inspire change. Steven has been teaching college (and pre-college) level courses in Interactive Art, New Media, Social engaged artwork, and Computer Graphics. You can also find him at the Maker Faire Cleveland and similar events offering workshops to kids and teenagers interested in art, design, and technology.
Steven works in sculpture, interactive media, animation, web, robotics, and video. His breadth of knowledge has expanded thanks to the opportunities at the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design where he worked with dancers, actors, computer scientists, and musicians on interdisciplinary projects.
