Four High School Students Awarded in CIA's National 2D3D Art + Design Contest

Academics . Curriculum . International + Domestic Study . Mobility Semester

Mobility Semester

Explore the culture of a new city and experience the learning styles of another school while maintaining strong ties to the Cleveland Institute of Art.

The college’s Mobility Semester gives students the opportunity to study for a semester at another school, which is affiliated with the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD). Mobility Semester offers a wide variety of learning environments at various schools throughout the U.S. and Canada. It gives you the opportunity to learn in a different environment and gain valuable new perspectives on their art. You also pay tuition to CIA, so all financial aid remains active.

Students who participate in the Mobility Semester have a renewed sense of enthusiasm that they incorporate into their work when they come back to CIA.

Eligibility

You are eligible for Mobility Semester if you are a full-time student, have completed one semester in your major, are in good academic standing, and have completed all foundation work.

Application Process

  • For an application, contact Jeff Romanoski
  • Research AICAD schools
  • Discuss your options with the Department Chair
  • Complete the application materials
  • Send your application to the host school

If accepted, you will register for classes at the host school upon arrival.

For more information contact Jeff Romanoski in Academic Services at jromanoski@cia.edu or 216.421.7468.
