The Mechanics of Digital & Film Photography
Course No. FVPA295.2 Credits: 3

This class will cover the fundamentals of film and digital 35mm SLR cameras, exposure ratio as well as black and white film processing, silver printing and basic digital printing techniques. Lectures address black and white darkroom processes, digital storage, output, resolution, and file size for various applications as well as digital workflow. Introductory lighting tools and documentation of artwork for use in professional applications are covered. Required of Sophomore Photography Majors. Open Elective. 3 credits.
