Dom is a professor at the Cleveland Institute of Art in the Illustration Department. He is also a freelance illustrator based out Cleveland, Ohio.
Dom began his career working at American Greetings. He later worked as an Illustrator for Ray Domingo at E & R Graphics, an illustration studio represented by Cullen Rapp & Associates based in New York City. Following his employment with E & R he owned the Art Plant Inc., an illustration studio. In 1980 he became an instructor at the Cleveland Institute of Art and in addition to teaching, continues to freelance up to present time.
Dom’s Art was recently published in American Illustration XX. He has been recognized with awards from the Advertising Club of New York (Andy Award), Cleveland Society of Communication Arts, Art Directors Club of Cincinnati, Erie Ad Club`s Advertising Awards of Excellence and the American Greetings Spring Show. As an illustrator, he has produced art for advertising and product illustration, editorial illustration, children`s books, greeting cards, ad packaging and logo design.
Dom’s clients include: American Greetings, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Columbus Dispatch, Harcourt Brace & Jovanvich, Moen, Tremco, Ohio Business Magazine, Cleveland Magazine, Northern Ohio Live, Geauga Lake, Penton Publishing, Parents Magazine and Oberlin College.
