Installation Assistant (Gallery)

Primary Responsibilities: Prepping, installing, and de-installing artworks for gallery exhibitions, as well as the transport and handling of artworks.

This is a part-time position based on the gallery’s exhibition schedule. During the installation of an exhibition most Installation Assistants can expect to work 30 hours per week for a period of 2 weeks, followed by a (on average)1-2 month long break while the exhibition is on view.

Staff will receive a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice prior to scheduling.

Past experience working in the field of art handling or gallery installation is required.
