Assistant Professor of Digital Arts – Animation
The Cleveland Institute of Art is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full-time ranked Assistant Professor position with a focus on Animation.
Qualifications:
Must contribute toward building and maintaining a professional and civil work environment for all employees of the Institute.
Position requirements:
MFA (preferred) or equivalent degree level of professional experience within the Animation industry studios, and have a record of professional animation work. Additional experience preferred in the areas of: (1) teaching, (2) curricular development, (3) course management, (4) leadership, (5) Internship/Industry Collaboration Skills (6) project management, (7) communication, and (8) organization of teaching materials (lectures, handouts, projects, and student resources.)
All full-time ranked faculty members are expected to participate in departmental and school-wide committees, curriculum development, advising of undergraduate students, and assessment of programs.
Interested candidates must submit a cover letter of intent, summarizing qualifications and a separate document with their teaching philosophy; CV; no more than 20 examples of current professional work (CD-ROM, DATA DVD, Playable DVD, and/or portfolio website); Additional and separate data disc of: 5 - 10 Examples of student work; a list of 3 professional references with contact information, and a SASE for return of materials to:

Position begins August 2013. Review of candidates’ credentials is scheduled to begin January 18, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled.
