Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations

The Cleveland Institute of Art, one of the nation’s leading independent colleges of art and design, is seeking an Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations. Responsibilities include written and verbal fundraising efforts aimed at individual donors, and strategic communications and outreach efforts with alumni. Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, have strong writing and speaking skills, and be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously. Seeking a creative and flexible individual with a professional, outgoing personality and an ability to effectively interact with a variety of constituents including alumni, donors, faculty, staff, students, volunteers, and other non-profit organizations. Looking for demonstrated ability to set and meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks accordingly. Must be knowledgeable with Excel, Word, and working with a computer database (preferably Raiser’s Edge). Knowledge of fundraising techniques and solicitation experience is highly desirable. Limited travel and occasional evening and weekend work is required to assist with special events. Bachelor’s degree and at least two years development experience is strongly preferred.
