2D3D Competition Winners Announced
Five high school students from across the U.S. take top honors in 2D3D
Students from California, Connecticut, Michigan, and South Carolina are being awarded cash prizes and thousands of dollars of scholarship money as winners of Cleveland Institute of Art's 2D3D National Art + Design Competition. The winning artworks were selected by a panel of CIA faculty, from entries by 1,064 students representing over 420 American high schools in 39 states.
And the winners are:
Best in Show winner
The Best in Show winner will receive a $2,000 cash prize and a prize from our sponsor, Faber-Castell.

Best in Category winners
The Best in Category winners will receive a $400 cash prize, a $10,000 annual scholarship ($40,000 total) to Cleveland Institute of Art, and a prize from our sponsor, Faber-Castell.

Juror's Special Merit winners
The Juror's Special Merit winners will receive a $200 cash prize.

Emerging Artist Pre-College Scholarship
The Emerging Artist winners will receive a $500 scholarship to CIA's 2017 Pre-College Program.

- Interdisciplinary: Alex Larsen, junior, Lynbrook High School in San Jose, CA
Florida teacher wins $1,000 in art supplies
Congratulations to James Finch from West Shore Junior - Senior High School in Melbourne, FL, who was randomly selected in a drawing to win $1,000 worth of art supplies from contest sponsor Faber-Castell. Mr. Finch had 37 students enter the competition!
